Why a Catamaran

Why Choose a Catamaran Charter in Saint-Martin?

Rock-steady comfort

Twin hulls keep the boat flat and stable, even at anchor. Far less motion than a single-hull boat, ideal for families and guests prone to seasickness.

Space for the whole group

Wide decks, trampolines and a shaded cockpit give everyone room to relax. Comfortable for groups from 2 up to 28 guests.

All three islands

Saint-Martin, Saint-Barth and Anguilla, all within reach. Your captain knows every cove and anchorage worth the detour.

How to choose

Catamaran vs Speedboat : Which to Choose?

Choosing between a catamaran and a speedboat comes down to three things: how big your group is, how much you value comfort over speed, and how far you want to roam in a day. Both are wonderful ways to enjoy Saint-Martin, Saint-Barth and Anguilla. Here is a quick guide to help you decide.

Best for large groups

Catamaran. With room for up to 28 guests and a flat, stable platform, a catamaran offers far more deck and lounging space than a speedboat, which tops out around 8 to 12. Wide trampolines, sun beds and a shaded cockpit mean everyone has a spot. For celebrations, families and mixed-age groups who want comfort in one place, the catamaran wins easily. For smaller, faster outings, a speedboat may be all you need.

Best for comfort on open water

Catamaran. Twin hulls keep the boat steady, even at anchor, which makes a real difference for guests prone to seasickness and for long, relaxed days at sea. There is shade when you want it and sun when you do not, making it the natural choice for full-day cruises and sunset sailings. If you want the most premium, sheltered experience of all, a yacht adds enclosed seating and refined finishes.

Best for island hopping

Speedboat. When time is short, speed wins: a speedboat reaches Saint-Barth in around 45 minutes versus approximatively one hour by catamaran, and Anguilla in around 20 minutes versus 35. If your plan is to cover ground and pack several stops into one day, the speedboat is quicker. Heading to Saint-Barth for the day?
